What is Holistic Voicework?
Holistic Voicework is an approach to working with the voice in a multidisciplinary way. The principle behind this is based on the idea that the nature of voice is complex and is affected by a wide range of factors which all merit development. It is a common theme to work in a person-centred way and to perceive the voice as relating to the whole person, rather than just their vocal mechanism. There are many different practitioners who work with the voice in a holistic way and each has a unique approach to their discipline.
Holistic Voicework has the potential to be utilised as a powerful therapeutic tool and as a result can create significant shifts in your life. Therefore it is important to find a practitioner who resonates with you and can support to to feel safe and comfortable in any work you do together. Your sessions should provide a safe space to explore your voice in a way that feels comfortable to you.

True Voice Creations makes no specific clinical claims of the application of Holistic Voicework (5 Elements of Voicework) whilst acknowledging the power of this medium to create lasting positive personal shifts for those who practice it. We currently identify this to be a Creative Education based and Philosophical approach to Personal Development.
At this stage; Autoethnographic documentation (from my own practitioner experiences) as well as anecdotal evidence from clients expressing their insights relating to: positive personal growth and behavioural habit change forms the basis from which to continue developing this work. It is of interest to us to explore a range of research methodologies to gather high quality data to build an evidence base for this work which positions it at the intersection of Music and Medicine.

The overall aim in this Holistic approach is to explore all elements of vocal development; and honour all the parts of ourself that have something to express.
These interconnected qualities are all aspects important to voicework. It is possible to explore each aspect individually in greater detail or in parallel to the other elements.
